Dear Valued Patients,

I am thrilled to introduce myself as Dr. Andrew Duncan, the newest member of Dr. Hair’s esteemed dental practice. It is with great pleasure that I join this outstanding team to deliver high-quality dental care to all of you. My journey in dentistry began with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah in 2008. Eager to pursue my passion for oral health, I went on to obtain a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, graduating in 2012. Since then, I have been on an incredible professional journey, constantly seeking ways to expand my knowledge and improve my clinical skills.

Following graduation, I spent a year in a busy private practice in Texas, where I gained valuable experience in general dentistry. However, my desire to make a difference in underserved communities led me to spend the next ten years in various public health settings, most notably in Moses Lake, Washington. Here, I had the privilege of working as a general dentist for an amazing Community Health Center and part-time at Columbia Basin Job Corps, where I mentored and treated young adults enrolled in a trade-school program. 

The experience in public health challenged me to continually push my boundaries and engage in extensive continuing education. As a result, my scope of practice has expanded to include Orthodontics, Implantology, and complex restorative dentistry. While I do refer the most complex cases to my specialized colleagues, I find it incredibly rewarding to address potential issues early on, preventing complex situations from arising in the first place. This broader perspective is a testament to my dedication to providing the best possible care to each and every patient. 

Recently, I had the opportunity to work with the University of Utah as one of their dental providers, and I also had the privilege of mentoring dental students during their rotations. This experience reinforced my commitment to delivering compassionate and honest dental care of the highest quality.

Now, as I embark on this new chapter with Dr. Hair’s practice, I am confident that our shared philosophy of exceptional care will pave the way for even more positive and fulfilling patient experiences. I look forward to getting to know each one of you personally as we work together to ensure your oral health is in the best of hands. Dr. Hair’s practice and its wonderful staff have built a reputation for excellence, and I am excited to contribute to this tradition of outstanding dental care.
